Stephanie Ross began her journey in the aged care industry as a teen, caring for her great aunt Jill and grandmother June.

After a decade of private and professional experience Stephanie started Kookaburra Care recognising the need for more affordable and flexible home care alternatives.

Overnight Care

Active

If you or your loved one needs full attention through the night, we offer carers to stay over night, awake, alert and attentive to you or your family member. Our service is ideal for people with intensive care needs and hospital remissions.]

Inactive

If round the clock care is not needed, however you still want peace of mind and extra support, we can provider a carer to sleepover and is on hand when needed to provide assistance.

24 Hour Care

Sometimes families need round the clock care for their loved ones.

We offer a 24 hour care service, where carers rotate through 3 shifts to provide attentive assistance as needed through the day and night.

Errands and transportation

Organising transport for appointments.

Running errands such as picking up prescriptions, postage and shopping.

Housekeeping

Assistance with light gardening.

Kitchen cleaning and organisation.

Bathroom cleaning and organisation.

Laundry and Ironing.

Bed linen changing.

Vacuuming and mopping of floors.

Meals

Complete meal preparation.

Assistance with menu planning.

Personal Assistance

Assistance with morning and evening routines.

Ease and optimise medical interactions

Transportation and scheduling of doctors’ appointments.

Attending doctors’ appointments and facilitating communication between doctor, senior and family members, if appropriate.

Monitoring client’s adherence to instructions, including reminders to take medications and exercise as directed by a physician.

Special dietary needs for conditions like diabetes, hypertension or heart disease can be managed through considered shopping guidelines and proper food preparation.

Support aids/product ordering and management.

Companionship

Home visits centered around conversations, games and one on one interaction.
